Vibroacoustic therapy is the use of low frequency vibrations to stimulate body cells out of fight or flight and into the therapeutic state of rest and recover.
Vibroacoustic Therapy (VAT) is essentially a deep tissue low-frequency sound massage using audio waves. These audio waves (range of 30Hz-120 Hz) are transmitted to the body through a lounge with embedded transducers.
Meditative music is sent from the source into the transducers and is felt by the body as vibration and heard by the ears as sound; creating vibro-tactile input. This stimulates nerve bundles along the spine and through the limbic system. These reactions signal the body to relax and flood the brain with mood-boosting neurotransmitters. The low frequencies also cause a relaxation of tissues, a dilation of blood vessels and an opening of the lymphatic pathways which increases the body’s ability to heal.
Our inHarmony Sound Lounge incorporates four tactile transducers, two amplifiers, Sennheiser HD noise reduction headphones, and concert-quality cables to deliver powerful sound to your ears and body, making you feel amazing!
Sound therapy, or vibroacoustic therapy (VAT), uses low frequencies and therapeutic music delivered through the body to bring you into a state of healthy resonance.
Our body is comprised of cells vibrating in water. Sound therapy is a natural, non-invasive way to set this water into motion. As this water is moved by the vibration, its molecules are reacting and communicating with each other. As this communication occurs, harmony and a healthy resonance are restored in the body.
